Inspection: Inspecting Department of Prisons & COVID-19 Test Site

Member of the State Administration Council Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut on Tuesday made inspection at Department of Prisons (Obo).

Firstly, the Union Minister inspected construction of a 3-storey building for prisoners and stressed standard design, quality construction and completion of the construction in time. Calling for requirements, he inspected implementation of his instructions during the previous inspection.

The Union Minister also inspected a new building for prisoners if it has proper accommodation, sufficient water supply, daily foods program and quarantine site for new prisoners. During the inspection, he stressed importance of adherence to COVID-19 prevention guidelines. Also, the Union Minster inspected COVID-19 test site and security measures at entry point [C] junction to Nay Pyi Taw, and, called for efforts for COVID-19 test, prevention and awareness campaign. He also instructed security forces to tighten the security measures.
