Goodwill Visit to Russia: C-in-C Meets with Secretary of Security Council

At the invitation of Army General Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, during their Goodwill visit to Russia, the delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander In Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Mr. Nikolai Plato-novich Patrushev.

In the meeting at the Secretary’s Office on Monday morning, they discussed cooperation on security measures between the two countries, political reform and Tatmadaw’s tasks in the national political leadership in Myanmar and ways to strengthen the closed relations between the two countries and their armed forces, and, also to make sector-wide cooperation.

After the meeting, the Senior General and the Secretary exchanged gifts.

Also, during his stay at Metropol Hotel, Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander In Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Director General of Rosoboronexport Company Mr. Alexander A. Mikheev and other company officials.

This meeting discussed military technical cooperation and political reform. After the meeting, the Senior General and the Director General exchanged gifts.
