Paying homage: SAC Chairman Paid Homage To Kyaikthanlan Pagoda

The Chairman of State Administration Council, Commander In Chief of Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing together with the wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, council members, union ministers, commander in chief (Navy) and wife, senior Tatmataw officials and their wives, Mon State administration council chairman, commander of Southeast command and officials paid homage to the presiding Sayadawgyi of Myaceti Pariyatti Sarthintaik  Baddanta Vimalabuddhi, reported religious matters, inquired the health conditions of Sayadawgyi and observed five precepts administered by the Sayadaw.

Next, the SAC chairman, commander in chief of defense services and wife, council members, union ministers and Senior Tatmataw (Army, Navy, Airforce) officials offered 200 rice bags, 300 visses of edible oil, 300 visses of bean, cash donations and offertories and the Sayadawgyi returned Dhamma gifts and gave words of religious advices.  Similarly, the SAC chairman, wife and council members paid homage to the KyaikThanlan pagoda which is the landmark of Mawlamyaing in the evening on 31st May.

First, the chairman of state administration council, commander in chief of defense services and members were welcome by the members of pagoda board of trustee. Then, the chairman and members inspected the status of laying marvel countertop on the pagoda platform and preserving ancient historic religious items and the chairman of pagoda board of trustee and officials concerned clarified necessaries.

Then, the flowers, water and candle lights were offered to the pagoda and presented cash donations accepted by the pagoda board of trustee. In the morning on Wednesday, the SAC chairman and members inspected the construction project of the sports garden of Mon State and the Mon State administration council chairman and deputy minister for health and sports clarified necessaries.  

Regarding with the clarifications, the SAC chairman gave necessary instructions to carry out road extension works for the convenience of people who come to the sports garden, to construct keeping the quality and standards, to survey suitable site in downtown area to construct swimming pool in a place where the people can easily access, put parking lot and other necessaries.

Afterward, the SAC chairman and members inspected the implementations to upgrade ShweNatTaung station football ground and gave necessary guidelines regarding with the reports of the responsible officials to address the quality and standards and the requirements to use land effectively by considering possible holding sports competitions and goodwill matches, it’s learnt.
