Transportation Sector: Union Minister Inspected Rail Line Upgrading Works

The Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San inspected Myanma Railway Diesel Locomotive Workshop (Insein), Yangon circular railway line upgrading project, Diesel Locomotive Workshop (Mahwlakone) and wharfs in Thilawa port on 30th May.

First, the union minister and party in the morning met with the departmental heads, officers and staffs at the workshop hall of Myanma Railway Diesel Locomotive Workshop (Insein), the acting in-charge of workshop clarified the facts about the workshop, the union minister inquired necessaries, provided foodstuffs for the staff of workshop and inspected around the workshop.

Then, the union minister arrived at Insein station and inspected the implementations of Yangon circular railway line upgrading project from Insein Station to Yangon station by RBE special train. In the inspections of line sections, the responsible officials clarified the upgrading works at Mingalardon station and the union minister gave the necessary instructions.

Later, the officers and staff members were met at the meeting hall of Diesel Locomotive Workshop (Mahwlakone-မလွှကုန်း). At the meeting, the assistant general manager (mechanical) from the division-7 of Yangon reported work implementations and challenges facing and union minister instructed necessary guidelines to the responsible officials and provided foodstuffs for the workshop staff members.

Then, union minister and party inspected around the Diesel Locomotive Workshop (Mahwlakone).

Afterwards, union minister and party inspected Myat Mitter Mon fuel wharf, Myanmar International Terminal Thilawa (MITT), Myanmar CNTIC VPower (MCV) LNG wharf, Wilmar crops and fuel oil wharf, Badauk Shwewar fuel wharf, Thilawa Multipurpose International Terminal (TMIT) and related works, the responsible officials took the union ministers and party around the works carrying out and the union minister coordinated necessaries.
