Fishery Sector: Union Minister Meets with Concerned Officials

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo met with Chairman of Myanmar Fisheries Federation and many other concerned officials in Yangon.

In the meeting at the Office of the Myanmar Fisheries Federation, the Union Minister stressed the important role of fishery sector for food security, nutrition and export. He called for cooperation for the fishery sector development, and, pledged to develop human resource and research.

The meeting discussed to accelerate cooperation between the Ministry and concerned fisheries federations for long-term prosperity and sustainability of fisheries, local consumption rate and export volume enhancement.
