Construction Sector: Ministry Holds Coordination Meeting

Ministry of Construction held a coordination meeting. During the meeting, Union Minister U Shwe Lay highlighted work plans and objectives of the ministry to conduct in line with the instructions.

He also stressed the need to implement the projects in line with the law and regulations as the current road/bridge constructions and projects with private sectors will be permitted in accordance with the policies and procedures and also the need to adopt the financial procedures, rules and regulations and laws in auditing sectors.

The Union Minister added that directors of region/state departments need to accelerate the momentum to implement the works and to submit their difficulties in a timely manner not to occur delays in state-level projects and other projects jointly conducted by international countries.

The meeting continued with Directors-General of relevant departments making presentations regarding their completed works and ongoing plans while the Directors of region/state departments briefed their performance and future work plans. The Union Minister coordinated the discussion and gave necessary instructions.
