Rail Services: Highway Passenger Train And Circular Train Services To Be Resumed

Highway passenger train and circular train services that have been suspended temporarily will be resumed, according to the MyanmaRailways under the Ministry of Transport and Communications. During COVID-19 period, the number of commuters is decreasing because of the travel restriction in line with COVID-19 guidelines.

That’s why,Myanma Railwaysis operating 6 mail trains, 4 parcel trains and freight trains as well as circular train service with 3 coaches 12 times a day.Now, COVID-19 infection rate saw a decline and MR resumes the train operations for the convenience of the commuters from Yangon-Mandalay, Mandalay- Myintkyina, Yangon-Mawlamyine-Ye-Dawei, Yangon-Pyay and Mandalay-Lashio route starting on 4th February.

MR also arranges the seating plan for the passengers in social distancing, thermal scanner, hand washing and mask wearing in accord with MOHS guidelines.
