Aerial shots of Oregon Wildfires in Washington County

Smoke filled the skies because wildfires raged in Washington County, Oregon, on Tuesday. Emergency crews battled the flames as blazes spread across a large area of the county, coming close to homes and destroying woodland. Wildfires have been causing devastation across the US with several firefighters hurt in California as crews tried to protect a fire station from flames.

Hurricane-force winds and high temperatures also kicked up wildfires across parts of the Pacific Northwest over the holiday weekend, burning hundreds of thousands of acres and mostly destroying the small town of Malden in eastern Washington.
