Brenton Tarrant, the Australian who murdered 51 Muslims in last year's New Zealand mosque massacre, arrives in court on Wednesday accompanied by police in Christchurch for the third day of his sentencing hearing. Tarrant has admitted 51 charges of murder, 40 of attempted murder and one of terrorism over the attacks at two Christchurch mosques on March 15, 2019. He is expected to be the first person jailed for life without parole in New Zealand. He has maintained an impassive appearance throughout the hearing, which began on Monday, as the grief-stricken survivors unleashed their anger in an outpouring of emotion.
