The Prince of Wales, Britain's Prince Charles and wife Camilla visited New Zealand's Christchurch on Friday. The pair were greeted by students and attended a ceremony with Muslim community members. Prince Charles praised the people of Christchurch for their dignity in their responses to the March 15 terror attacks, before visiting Lincoln University where he gave a state of the environment speech and viewed student projects.

The Duchess of Cornwall Camilla met with students at a writers workshop at Library, before the royal couple greeted members of the public during a walk through Cathedral Square. The pair will continue their public engagements on Saturday in Christchurch and will continue to travel to Kaikoura.
