Russian President begins official visit to Saudi Arabia

Russian President Vladimir Putin travelled to Saudi Arabia on Monday, meeting with the king and crown prince as he seeks to cement Moscow's political and energy ties across the Middle East. It's Putin's first visit to the kingdom since 2007. At a round table meeting between the two delegations, King Salman praised relations between Riyadh and Moscow, especially energy agreements. 20 agreements between the two nations were signed at a ceremony at the palace. Russia and Saudi Arabia are divided over Syria and Iran.
