
North Korea marked the World Breastfeeding Week on Thursday in Pyongyang, state media reported. Footage from North Korea's official news agency KCNA showed North Korea's officials and healthcare workers along with members of international organizations including UNICEF attending the workshop at Kim Jong Suk nursery.
The footage also showed participants taking lectures about breastfeeding and baby's growth and watching children's performance. World Breastfeeding Week is a global initiative running from August 1 to 7, to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world, according to World Health Organization and World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action website.
