Zelensky welcomes Trump envoys in Kyiv ahead of peace talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed US envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff on Sunday as they arrived for their first visit to Kyiv, a day after they held talks with Russia's Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin on ending more than four years of conflict between the neighbours.

The envoys arrived in the Ukrainian capital by train. The two sides discussed substantive plans for next steps, which will be announced in the coming weeks, and look forward to equally productive meetings in Ukraine.
