






Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee held its first coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on December 16 with aims at the effective and systematic implementation of the youth affairs for the all-round development of the youth.
In his opening remark at the meeting, the Committee Chairman Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan said the youth are needed the systematic nurturing to turn out youths to become good and able sons for serving the interests of the State and to have comprehensive development for the youth who will shoulder the state responsibilities.
With the aims at implementation of securing full rights of the youth and uplifting their role, Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee, Myanmar Youth Affairs Working Committee and Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States Youth Affairs Committees have been formed.
This is the very first work coordination meeting held after forming the central committee. It’s needed to form the district/township committees systematically to effectively implementing the major 16 sectors included in the youth affairs policy.
The youth centers should be established at the regions and states and it’s required to provide for the protection and promotion of the live of youth with disabilities. More efforts are needed to put for the interest of the youth by engaging with the international youth organizations and UN agencies.
The collective efforts will be needed to implement the multi sector effectively in line with the Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan and UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.Next, the vice chairs of the MYACC Union Ministers Dr. Nyunt Pe, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, Dr. ThetThetKhine discussed the cooperative efforts of all stakeholders to be able to implement the future work processes of the central committee.
After clarifying by the chair of working committee deputy minister for sports and youth affairs Dr. Soe Win regarding youth’s all-round development sectors, strategic plans and the future work plans with power point, the central committee members and chairs, vice chairs and secretaries of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Regions and States youth affairs committees reported the work implementations done for the development of the youth and future work plans.
In responding to the reports and clarifications, the central committee chair and vice chair supplemented necessaries in the discussions and the meeting was concluded.
