Xi holds meetings with MEast, Arab leaders in Riyadh

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday held meetings with the leaders of Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Djibouti, Lebanon and Algeria in Riyadh.

In the talks, Xi vowed to import more oil and natural gas from energy-rich Gulf Arab states. Xi also urged the Arab countries to conduct energy sales in the Chinese yuan. Xi’s visit to Saudi Arabia started on Wednesday. He attended the first China-Arab States Summit and the China-Gulf Cooperation Council summit.
