Xi concludes state visit to DPRK

Chinese president Xi Jinping concluded his state visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday afternoon. Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, and his wife Ri Sol Ju saw Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan off with a grand farewell ceremony at the airport.

Thousands of local residents and children gathered at the airport to see the Chinese guests off. At the invitation of Kim, Xi paid a state visit to the DPRK from Monday to Tuesday.
