Xi arrives in Pyongyang for state visit to DPRK

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese president, arrived in Pyongyang on Monday for a state visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Xi and North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un are expected to reaffirm the solidarity between their countries when they hold a summit meeting.

China's state-run News Agency reported that Xi's "historic" visit is expected to "draw a new blueprint for the development of relations" between the two countries.
