Wuhan making full efforts to contain novel coronavirus

Wuhan is making full efforts to receive and treat patients as the city is now in a critical period in its battle against the spread of the novel coronavirus, the city's Executive Vice Mayor said at a press conference on Friday. The Executive Vice mayor said more hospitals will be ready to treat confirmed patients as the city allocates all available facilities in an update to the press. Medical workers around the country have rushed to Wuhan to help fight the outbreak.

The Executive Vice mayor says 1,400 more were arriving in Wuhan on Friday. The executive vice mayor also said Wuhan has greatly increased its ability to test suspected cases, from 200 tests a day at the beginning of the outbreak to 6,000 to 8,000 a day now.
