World leaders congratulated Donald Trump on Wednesday as he triumphed in a stunning US election victory over Kamala Harris. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has congratulated Donald Trump on his victory, vowing Berlin would work with him for "prosperity and freedom".

Likewise, French President Emmanuel Macron posted on X, saying he was ready to work with the US vote frontrunner "with respect and ambition" like "they managed to do for four years".
