World Consumer Rights Day : Chief Minister attends World Consumer Rights Day event

Magwe Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the ceremony marking World Consumer Rights Day, which will be officially observed on March 15, 2026.

In his opening speech, Chief Minister U Tint Lwin emphasized that the event aims to raise awareness about consumer rights, promote knowledge and skills for consumer protection, ensure fair business practices, and strengthen the role of consumers in society.

The 2026 theme is “Safe Products, Confident Consumers”, highlighting the importance of choosing safe products to avoid physical, financial, or health losses. He also stressed that ensuring product safety is a national responsibility shared by the government, businesses, and consumers. The ceremony featured a video presentation about the history of World Consumer Rights Day and an exhibition showcasing safe products.
