Workshop on youth training schools: Department of Social Welfare organized the workshop

The Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement organized a workshop on youth training schools at Zabuthiri Hotel, Nay Pyi Twa in the morning on July 14.

In her opening remark, the Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine said that the training schools and temporary care centers are accepting the young people who have been convicted by the court and those who are under remand and giving necessary care, the purpose of establishment of training schools etc. Next, the deputy minister U Aung Tun Khaing gave a remark.

The workshop has been holding for two days from 14th to 15th July and the regions and states head officers and principals of the training schools attended and took part in the group discussions on the obstacles encountered and the solutions for them. The reform process will be carried out based on the results from the discussions, it’s reported.
