Workshop in Nay Pyi Taw: Workshop onthe Role of Governors in India’s Federalism

A workshop on the Role of Governors in India’s Federalism was held at the National Reconciliation and Peace Centre in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Member of the SAC, Union Minister at the Government Office, Chairman of National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and committee members, retired military officers and departmental staffs, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Vinay Kumar and officials of the embassy and representatives of 7 NCA-S EAOs (ALP, DKBA, KNU/KNLA-PC, LDU, NMSP, PNLO, RCSS) led by Dr. Naw Kapaw Htoo attended the workshop.

The NSPNC Chair Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, the Indian Ambassador to Myanmar and one behalf of 7 NCA-S EAOs Vice Chair of KNU/KNLA-PCDr. Naw Kapaw Htoo extended greetings.

After that, Professor Sudarshan Ramaswamy from India discussed the Role of Governors in India’s Federalism and attendees exchanged views on experiences of India, the role of Governors and responsibilities and international experiences and asked about they want to know.
