Work Undertakings : Futsal Tournament and provisions for displaced persons

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the opening ceremony of the Chief Minister’s Cup U-15 Men Futsal Tournament at Nyein Chan Thar Yar Futsal Stadium on Saturday.

At the event, the Chief Minister underscored that the tournament aims to foster critical thinking, capability, and social skills, enhance the state’s futsal standards and nurture a new generation through physical activities. He also urged all athletes to strive for future success through the tournament.

The Chief Minister, along with other concerned officials encouraged the coaches and athletes of the 15 participating team, and enjoyed performances by the dance troupes. Cash rewards were also presented for the tournament and the entertainment troupes.

They later cheered the match between Lucky FC and Every One FC. They then proceeded to the OMF Lisu temporary relief camp in Lekone (ZiOnn)  Ward and warmly greeted the displaced families. The Chief Minister and party provided 55 bags of rice, 55 viss of oil, and 1,100 eggs to 55 households.

A camp official gave words of thanks and reported the families’ needs, including safe shelters, electrification and water access. The Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s ongoing support and cash assistance for displaced families and urged timely reporting of their needs.
