Work Undertakings: Efforts for development of Ayeyawady Region

Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win on Saturday, attended the opening ceremony of a 100 ft long and 20 ft wide concrete bridge on the Pathein–Monywa–Betyè entrance road to mark the upcoming 81st anniversary Armed Forces Day.

He formally opened the bridge by cutting the ribbon together with officials and later inspected the structure. He then visited farmland in Kyankhin Township, where a farmer was applying fertilizer to summer paddy planted using a drum seeder, and encouraged farmers to grow sunflower crops along field embankments to increase oilseed production.

The Chief Minister also inspected operations at oil mills in Myanaung, where peanut, sesame, sunflower and soybean oils are produced with modern equipment. He encouraged to expand the production of clean and healthy edible oils.

Later, he opened new concrete roads built during the 2025–2026 fiscal year. These include a 975 ft concrete road in Ward No. 4, Myanaung, a 480 ft concrete road in Ingapu, and additional rural concrete roads in Ingapu and Hinthada townships. After the ceremonies, he inspected the newly completed roads.
