Work Undertakings: Development works and election preparations

Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo on 14th December inspected the construction of KhitAye-KyaukPhyar-YwarThitKkone village intersection road in Zeyathiri Township on 14th December.

After hearing the report by officials, the Council Chairman stressed to ensure the completion of tasks quickly in line with the set standard. At the Basic Education Primary School in KyaukPhyar Village, the Council Chairman met with teachers, providing cash assistance, and then viewed the poultry farm.

After that, the Council Chairman attended the election awareness campaign and use of MEVM demonstration, held at the Mingalar Byuhar Sasana Beikman in Pyinmana. He stated that since election is the most important step in democracy system, the government is undertaking the preparations for successful holding of multiparty democratic general election.

The Secretary of the Union Territory Sub-election commission and official from Ministry of Immigration and Population clarified the matters regarding the MEVM, electoral system and issuance of National Registration Cards. Later, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials encouraged those participated in MEVM demonstration and use of machine.
