Work Undertakings: Awards presenting and meeting with literati

“Beautiful and Pleasant Myanmar” Color photo Contest marking the 78th |Anniversary of Independence Day was held at Printing and Publishing Department in Yangon on Sunday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the ceremony and delivered the speech, stating that the Color photo contest aims to emerge new young generation of professional photographers. He urged the young contestants to capture photos reflecting development works as well as beautiful and peaceful landscape of the State, and traditional customs.

A member of the judges then explained the selection process. This was followed by presenting of prizes to the winners including the Special Prizes, first, second and third place winners. After the ceremony, the Union Minister and party viewed around the displayed photos.

Earlier in the morning , the Union Minister met with literati from National Literary Award Selection Committee and Sarpay Beikman Literary Award Board at the Printing and Publishing Department and discussed matters regarding the Myanmar literature development.
