Work Implementation: Chief Minister inspects development works in Rakhine State

A ceremony on successful implementation of Rural Area Development project for 2026-2027 fiscal year was held at the meeting hall of the Rakhine State Government Office on April 23rd.

Chief Minister U Naing Oo attended the ceremony and made a speech. He said that related departmental officials will be assigned duties for project implementations in cooperation with the concerned departments and organizations.

In order to produce local raw materials for local food sufficiency and export expansion, implementations are needed to carry out in connection with previous project plans.

The Chief  Minister urged the stakeholders to scrutinize the projects under the set guidelines and procedures for socio-economic development of the locals, emphasizing the investment in human resource development. He added that matters to be implemented promptly can be carried out with permission according to the guidance of the state, following the existing laws, rules and regulations, and procedures.

In implementing the Rural Area Development Project, the Chief  Minister stressed for timely completion with the set standards. The Chief Minister then assigned duties to the officials for project implementation. The Chief Minister later met with the departmental staff under the Ministry of Planning, Economic and Finance.

During the meeting, the Chief  Minister discussed the immediate, short-term and long-term benefits in planning projects, ensuring that the prescribed taxes are collected in full and in a timely manner, providing loans to farmers for paddy cultivation during the rainy season.

 In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and party attended a work coordination meeting on construction at Kyauk Tan (1) and (2) Dams in Maday Island of Kyauk Phyu Township. The Chief Minister heard reports on dam construcion projects and future plans and coordinated the needs. At the multi purpose port terminal in Sittwe, the Chief Minister and party inspected the loading process of solar panels, rice and basic foodstuff, transported from Yangon.

The Chief Minister later inspected the landscaping process, dredging along Kawarthe creek for proper flow of water.
