






Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, together with the officials, inspected the unloading of construction materials, rice, and basic commodities arriving by ship in Sittwe on Thursaday.
The deliveries were arranged under the supervision of the Rakhine State Government and Yangon Region Government. At the Sittwe multipurpose port, they viewed the unloading of construction materials as well as rice and essential goods from the vessels.
The Chief Minister instructed to ensure systematic, safe, and damage-free handling of the cargo. According to officials, the vessels carried 1,575 tons of construction materials, and 708.24 tons of rice and essential items. Later, the Chief Minister attended a coordination meeting at the Rakhine State Government Office with May Yu Stars Development Co., Ltd regarding the May Yu Shopping Complex project.
He explained that the modern shopping complex project in Sittwe had been delayed due to COVID-19 outbreak, Cyclone Mocha, and local conditions. He urged the company to present its plan for completing the project and called on state government members to provide suggestions to move the project forward.
Company representatives outlined their updated construction plans, after which state government members provided additional recommendations. The Chief Minister concluded the meeting with closing remarks.
