






A work coordination meeting for participation in the upcoming 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, Collective Mass Walk in December and successful holding of sports competitions in commemoration of Independence Day was held at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on October 30th.
Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung attended the meeting, along with the Deputy Ministers and many other concerned officials. Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister stressed the needs to make reports on scrutinizing of athletes and sport varieties to be competed in the upcoming 33rd SEA Games, camp training and providing assistance to those athletes.
The athletes, coaches and supervisors are urged to try their best in the competition, upholding the union spirits, uplifting nation’s prestige on the international stage. Regarding the holding of Collective Mass Walk in December and sports competitions in commemoration of the 78th Independence Day, the Union Minister instructed to make detail clarifications on work plans by the responsible officials according to the respective sectors. He then gave necessary instructions on current working matters and future plans implemented by the related officials.
