WHO aid bound for Ukraine arrives in Poland

A cargo plane carrying 36 tonnes of medical aid sent by the World Health Organization to treat people caught up in the crises in Ukraine landed in Warsaw on Thursday.

The WHO said the shipment includes enough trauma supplies for 1,000 patients requiring surgical care and medical supplies to support 150,000 people.

The WHO has called for medical and humanitarian aid deliveries to be given safe passage into Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict.
