The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has ramped up operations in Haiti as violence and displacement worsen the hunger crisis

. Over 5.4 million people face acute hunger, with 50,000 displaced in recent weeks. WFP is providing hot meals and cash assistance to more than 50,000 displaced Haitians daily, including over 630,000 hot meals served in November.

Despite these efforts, food insecurity continues to grow, with 1 in 2 Haitians lacking enough food.

WFP aims to expand support, targeting 1.85 million individuals, and requires $94 million for the next six months. WFP has already assisted 1.66 million people in Haiti this year, providing emergency relief, school meals and resilience support, while also delivering food and medical supplies to previously inaccessible areas like Croix-des-Bouquets.
