Waso Robe Offering Ceremony: SAC Chairman Donated Offertories To The Sayadaws

The State Administration Council organized a Waso Robe Offering Ceremony at Sasana Maha Beikmandawgyi in the compound of Uppata Sandi Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing first offered emerald alms bowl, fruits, flowers, water and light to the Buddha image.

The Prime Minister and congregation later received the five precepts, delivered by the Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Patron Sayadaw of Bamaw Monastery in Mandalay. After listening to the sermons, recited by the Sayadaws, the Prime Minister and wife donated Waso Robe and offertories to the BamawSayadaw.

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife later donated Waso Robe and offertories to the Vice Chairman of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee,Patron Sayadaw of Sasana WaiPonla Pali University in Meikhtila.

It was followed by the donations of Waso Robes and offertories to the SAC members and wives, SAC Secretary, Joint Secretary and Union level officials.

The congregation later listened to the sermon, delivered by the Vice Chairman Sayadaw and shared the merit gained. The Prime Minister and wife and party later offered day meal to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.
