Vocational Trainings: Department of Social Welfare organizes training courses

Conducted by Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, the vocational training in Yangon will give the training courses from 2nd May. 

The Ministry opens vocational training centers in Yangon, Mandalay, Mawlamyine, Pathein,Taungoo, Myitkyina, Phyar Pon, Sittwe, Ywar Ngan and Dawei townships to provide the vocational courses to people.

A total of 8 vocational trainings are given in each fiscal year and it takes one and half months for each course. 

Assistant Director, Vocational Training Center (Yangon), Win Mar Oo said "There are 11 training schools in regions and states. Sewing, embroidery, knitting, cooking and floral decoration courses are offered at our training schools.  The trainees can also attend advanced courses according to their interests. The 1st batch training course will be opened on 2nd May this year. Over 300 trainees attended in the last year course."

The official of vocational training school added that the training term will take one and half months and the course will conduct every Monday to Friday.
