Visiting State Polytechnic University: SAC Chairman visited SPU and Peterhof Palace

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party currently in the Russian Federation visited the State Polytechnic University and the Peterhof Palace on 14 July.

Rector of the university Mr Andrey Ivanovich Rudskoy and officials explained layout plans of buildings on the campus, subject-wise lecturing and logistic measures for students with the use of scale models.

At the meeting hall, the rector clarified the undertakings of the university, plan to cooperate with Myanmar in the science and technology sector, plan to link with technological universities in Yangon and Mandalay, and admission of trainees from Myanmar till 2006 and resumption of education cooperation with momentum.

The Senior General discussed the learning of scholarship students from Myanmar in the Russian Federation, current attending of students, sending of students to the State Polytechnic University and further promotion of education cooperation.

While visiting the university, the Senior General heard clarifications on the capacity of amphibious vehicles designed by the university, measuring of earthquakes, oil and natural gas deposits, a 3D calculation based on data from UAVs and planes, drawing, aerospace calculation and diagnostics with the use of the supercomputer, capacity of which is equal to more than 10,000 computers and running of the metal production plant.

The Senior General and party left for the Peterhof Palace from Peterhof Express Port by Hydrofoil. They visited the palace and posed for documentary photos. Wives of senior military officers, outstanding award winner male and female officers who accompanied the Senior General visited the parliamentary building, Onegin arts gallery and other significant places in St Petersburg.
