Visiting Sites in Ayeyawady: The arrival of visitors has increased

The arrival of local and foreign visitors in Pathein District of Ayeyawaddy Region is 40,579 from January to December 2020 and there were 70,480 visitors in the same period of 2021.

As a result, it has increased by 74%, according to the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism in Ayeyawady region. The Head of Ayeyawady Region Directorate of Hotels and Tourism said 53,233 domestic and foreign visitors arrived in Pathein from January to 5th May 2022.

In Ngwe Saung beach, the arrival of local and foreign visitors was 68,159 in 2020 and 80,897 visitors in 2021, accounting for 19% increase. 67,723 visitors travel to Ngwe Saung beach from January to 5th May 2022.

Moreover, the arrival of local and foreign visitors to Chaung Thar beach was 157,526 in 2020 and 240,655 visitors in 2021. It has increased by 53% if compared to these two years. From January 2022 to 5th May 2022, there have been 148,917 visitors for 5 months.

The arrival of visitors in these 3 places in 2022 is likely to increase more than the last 2 years. Due to low travel rate during the rainy season, visitors can relax more peacefully on the beaches but they need more careful to swim in beaches due to storms and tide waves.
