Visiting to Russia: PM visits Medical School and Medical Center in FEFU

While in the Russia Federation, a high-level delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited Medical School and Medical Center at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok on Monday afternoon.

On arrival at the Medical School, the Prime Minister and party were welcomed by Vice President of Medical Affairs of FEFU Dr. Oleg I.Pak and members.

At the school hall, officials reported the Prime Minister and party on teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical sciences, paramedical courses in addition to medical science practically and theoretically, research works by using robotic and mechanistic technological subjects, providing healthcare services at the 250-bed medical center that is jointly opened with the training school, appointment of instructors by analyzing outstanding students from the school and accepting international trainees from 46 countries.

In response to the reports, the Prime Minister discussed selecting schemes of trainees if the trainees are sent, advanced medical sciences that can be learned and opportunities for trainees.Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khine Win also discussed conditions to dispatch the trainees and plan to cooperate among clinics for medical science.

The Prime Minister and party then viewed around the medical school and officials explained about teaching lesson with simulation patient, ECG and Ultra sound technology, surgical training with Micro Surgical Simulator and functions of Bio-technology department.

The Prime Minister and party then arrived at Medical Center where the Director General of the Center reported on functioning tasks of the center and the Prime Minister asked further information. 

Later, the Prime Minister presented commemorative gifts to the Vice President of Medical Affairs of FEFU and the Director General of the Medical Center. Medical Center in the FEFU Campus covers an area of ​​53,000 square meters.

There are about 200 specialists, doctors and medical assistants from all over Russia and abroad. It is reported that FEFU Medical Center has 14 major medical departments and provides treatment for various diseases.
