Visiting to Russia: Ministers & Deputy Ministers make sector-wise discussions

The Union Ministers and the Deputy Ministers who companied in the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister’s visit to the Russian Federation made discussions according to the respective sectors on Tuesday.

Union Ministers U Win Shein and Dr Kan Zaw attended Russia-ASEAN Business Dialogue. At the Business Dialogue, CEO of the Interstate Corporation for Development of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian-Thai Business Council Ivan Polyakov led the dialogue and Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr Kan Zaw took part in the discussion.

Moreover, businessmen from the Russian Federation and Indonesia and officials from the Chambers of Commerce and Industry also participated in the discussion. Union Ministers U Win Shein, Dr Kan Zaw, U Hla Moe, Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs held separate meetings with the CEO of the Interstate Corporation for Development of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian-Thai Business Council and discussed economic cooperation between Myanmar and Russia.

Likewise, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khine Win attended the Medical Panel Session of the Eastern Economic Forum-2022 and discussed difficulties encountered in the health system, efforts to overcome these circumstance, opportunities through cooperation, diagnostics by using advanced technologies, cancer treatment, control of infectious diseases and plans to share these technologies with developing countries.

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw also participated in the Strategic Technical Alliance of the Eastern Economic Forum-2022 and discussed the facts that should be reformed in the education sector in post Covid-19.

Moreover, Deputy Minister for Information Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun also signed MoU between state-owned Sputnik news agency of the Russian Federation and Myawaddy TV and discussed media sector development and cooperative programs.
