Visit to Puta-O: PM pays homage to pagoda and visits cultural museum

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife, together with the senior military officers and officials, visited KaungHmuLone Pagoda in Machanbaw Township of PutaO District in Kachin State on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister and party offered flowers and water to the Buddha and paid homage to the pagoda. The Prime Minister also instructed for long term sustainability of the pagoda and providing peaceful and pleasant environs for the pilgrims. The Prime Minister later donated cash for all-round renovation of the pagoda.

The Prime Minister and party later arrived at Rawang Cultural Museum and viewed the displays of utensils, traditional instruments, weapons, traditional medicines, clothes, jewellery and history of Rawang tribes. The Prime Minister gave instructions on conservation of the ancient heritage for long term existence.
