Vietnamese government approves airport plan until 2030

The Vietnamese government has agreed to the Ministry of Transport's proposal for a national master plan for the development of the airport and airport network until 2030, with a vision for 2050.

According to the plan, by 2030, the country will have 30 airports, including 14 international and 14 domestic ones, while the remaining two are under analysis for civil aviation operations and will be converted from military purposes to dual-use. The deployment of the plan must also adhere to the comments of the Politburo and the 15th National Assembly to meet the requirements of socio-economic development and ensure national security and defence.
