Vietnam strives to ensure electricity supply

The prolonged heatwave and the impact of El Niño have dried up reservoirs in Northern provinces of Vietnam.

The extreme weather has greatly reduced the electricity supply in the region. Vietnam Electricity reported that the electricity supply in the North may be short by 8,000 Megawatts this summer.

Power shortages have greatly affected the lives of people as well as production of many companies.
