Viet Nam wind power ranks among Asia’s top five

Viet Nam is cementing its position as a regional renewable energy powerhouse, widely recognized as one of the top wind markets in the Asia-Pacific region. Boasting immense technical potential, the country is rapidly accelerating both onshore and offshore wind developments to fuel its fast-growing industrial economy and hit net-zero targets.

According to the World Bank, Viet Nam’s offshore wind potential reaches up to 600 GW. Across the Asia-Pacific, Viet Nam is positioned as the third-largest wind market by prospective capacity and a top-five market for upcoming offshore wind projects.
