Viet Nam President hosts head of EU delegation

Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong hosted a reception for Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Viet Nam in Hanoi on July 3rd.

The President appreciated the ambassador's efforts and the companionship of European countries with Viet Nam in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. During the four years the ambassador was on duty in Viet Nam, the Viet Nam-EU relationship has developed strongly, such as the official Viet Nam-EU Free Trade Agreement and the new Just Energy Transition Partnership with Viet Nam that the EU coordinates.

Viet Nam always respects, facilitates and encourages foreign social organizations and non-governmental organizations to operate within the legal framework of Viet Nam, the President said.
