Viet Nam, Philippines move to implement newly signed defence cooperation

Viet Nam and the Philippines on Wednesday implemented a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding on defense cooperation to bolster maritime security, military education, and disaster response.

Besides, both sides agreed to expand professional training, establish young officer exchange programs, and promote experience sharing across various military branches. The implementation phase was set into motion following a state visit to Manila by Vietnamese President Tô Lâm and bilateral talks between defense and armed forces leaders.
