Viet Nam Determines to Remove IUU Yellow Card

In Viet Nam, delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Binh Dinh province on Friday discussed implementing the European Commission's recommendations on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing IUU.

And, the European Commission Inspection Team will conduct their 5th inspection in June. This is a crucial opportunity for Viet Nam to remove the yellow card for fisheries exploitation. Consequently, Viet Nam must adhere strictly to the EC’s recommendations. These include no fishing by vessels that are unregistered, unlicensed for exploitation, or uninspected, and ensuring no ship loses connection for more than 10 days.
