Viet Nam debuts semiconductor prototyping center

Viet Nam on Friday launched its first national center for supporting semiconductor chip prototyping. Managed by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the hub links domestic research with global manufacturing to make chip design faster and more affordable.

The center signed MOUs with 19 domestic and international partners, including major industry players like Intel, TSMC, Infineon, Cadence, andSynopsys. The launch marks a significant leap in the country's technology sector, positioning Viet Nam to move further up the global semiconductor value chain.
