A new veterinary hospital has opened up in San Salvador offering discounted services if they're paid with Bitcoin. Checkups, surgeries and grooming services will cost pet owners about 25 cents of a dollar if the digital wallet "Chivo" is used.

Bitcoin has been legal tender in El Salvador alongside the U.S. dollar since September 7. In January, the country's government rejected a recommendation by the International Monetary Fund to drop the decentralized digital currency as legal tender.
