Vaccination Program: 700,000 Sinopharm Doses Arrived On 21st August

A chartered flight of Air China carrying 700,000 Sinopharm Doses and Related materials ordered by Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce arrived at Yangon International Airport in the evening on 21st August.

Yangon Region Minister for Commerce U Aung Than Oo and Minister for Social Affaris U Aung Win Thein, and Chairman of Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce U AeikTun and officials inspected the moving process of vaccines and related items on to the cold storage trucks from the plane.

They then coordinated with the departmental officials and implemented the needs. In order to help National Vaccination Program for Covid-19 from a available conner, Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce initiated to conduct the Covid-19 Vaccination Program together with the relevant groups and Brothers Association for those who wish to get quick inoculation since Early June.

With the help of Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, WHO approved Inactivated COVID-19 Sinopharm Vaccines were directly purchased in line with SOP of the Ministry of Health and the Director of the Emerging Infectious Diseases Epidemiology Unit, Dr. KhinKhin Gyi also said the WHO approved Sinopharm vaccines which can prevent 60-70% against the new variants.

Under the instructions of the Ministry of Health, the vaccines and related materials are going to keep at medical storage room of AA Medical Product Limited in Thaketa Industrial Zone through immediate carrying with the cold storage trucks systematically in time as soon as those arrived. People with their own plan can inoculate the vaccines at Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce starting from 23rd of August, it’s learnt.
