US troops rush to Europe amid war in Ukraine

Soldiers from the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Division based at Fort Stewart, Georgia, are deploying to Germany to train with NATO allies. About 3,800 Fort Stewart soldiers were ordered to deploy. Those leaving Wednesday from Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah had a week to prepare.

Most of the world has lined up against Moscow in the United Nations to demand it withdraw from Ukraine, as Russian forces renew their attacks on the country's second-biggest city and lay siege to its strategic ports. Russia reported its military casualties for the first time since the attack began last week, saying nearly 500 of its troops had been killed and almost 1,600 wounded.
