US policy towards Israel was subject to immediate steps towards Gaza

The US warned that its policy towards Israel was subject to immediate steps towards Gaza, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said during a presser concluding the NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting in Brussels on Thursday.

Blinken said that US President Joe Biden made clear that U.S. policy with respect to Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps, during a call with Israeli Prime Minister. He added that Israel needed to show specific, concrete and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers in Gaza.
