U.S. / Bangladesh diplomatic talks

U.S. expressed on Wednesday that it wishes to improve its ties with Bangladesh. U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu expressed the United States’ commitment to rebuilding trust with Bangladesh during his visit to Dhaka. Lu emphasized the importance of promoting free, fair, and non-violent elections, while acknowledging the need to focus on the future.

The U.S. reaffirmed its support for Bangladesh’s pursuit of a prosperous, secure, and democratic future, emphasizing transparency and accountability in governance.
